Old Tolbooth Wynd is located in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town, an area steeped in history and with a colourful past. The Tolbooth, one of the many fine buildings on the Royal Mile, was built in 1591. It was the centre for the collection of public dues, the courthouse, the prison and the municipal affair centre for the independent burgh of the Canongate.
Today, the area is still at the hub of the city. The east end of Princes Street is a leisurely stroll away and every amenity you could wish for is within easy reach. Edinburgh, the Festival City, is a vibrant cultural centre. World renowned museums, theatres and art galleries are on your doorstep while fine restaurants and bistros are in abundance and shopping opportunities abound.
